Personal Firearms Instruction - The Marksman’s DCJS certified firearms instructors offer one on one or small group settings, personal firearms instruction. The instructors will focus on the basics in this area of training. We will cover Safety (on & off the range), Loading and Unloading of the Pistol and/or Revolver, Principals of Marksmanship, General Weapons Maintenance and firing on the range. The fee for Personal Instruction is $30.00 per hour. The student must provide their own firearm and ammunition. Range rentals are available for an extra $15.00. More advance instruction is available in shooting techniques at the rates of $40.00 and $50.00 per hour. Gun Repair - The Marksman’s certified armorer can fix many simple problems that you may have. Jamming, broken safety, sight install, stock install, or even to replace a broken part our armorer can do it for you. Starting at $25.00, you can call ahead to ensure your problem is fixed in a timely manner. |
Our on site concealed carry training is essential for everyone who has a pistol for self-defense, not just concealed weapon permit seekers. All who might use a firearm in self-defense need certified training in safety and defensive use of the handgun to back them up.
Virginia Concealed Handgun Training - Most Circuit Court’s in the Commonwealth of Virginia, mandate training for each individual applying for a concealed handgun permit. The Marksman offers this training. Our instructors are all DCJS certified and some are also NRA certified. This course covers:

There is a written exam and range qualification, to complete this course. The course is given over a six hour block of time (plus range qualification). The tuition is $55.00 and includes all training materials. Gun rental and Ammo are available. This class is taught most Sundays, our schedule is listed below. E-mail us for availability and any questions. Class size is limited to 15 people.
We also offer this class one on one for a $150 fee or for smaller groups at $100 per person on your selected schedule.
